Wedding In Bhutan Royal Wedding Caps Years:The 31-year Bachelor king of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, married a commoner Jetsun Pema television series of ceremonies for a nation that has been waiting for this day since the king was crowned graduate of Oxford five years ago.
Thousands of Bhutanese surrounding villages joined the king and queen at their wedding in a carnival stronghold outside the country’s most sacred monastery, where a list of dancers performed traditional routines for the new couple.
These parties were the latest in a long series of ceremonies that could put 2011 in the history books as the “Year of the royal wedding.”
